The U.S.S. Augusta Ada meets monthly!

=========================
Come explore the free software universe!
These are the voyages of the U.S.S. Augusta Ada -- to seek out new and interesting software... to discover the cultures of silicon lifeforms and their myriad of operating systems... to boldly go where only techies have gone before.
There is a large golden Dedication Plaque affixed to the door near the turbolift.

From the logs of our maiden voyage:

During a mission to update xenosociology records in the Beowulf cluster, it was discovered that the natives have developed their own warp drive technology, apparently in response to an invasion of the Borg.
What is particularly notable is that they appear to be successful in their defense. As a Starfleet Research vessel, your job is to integrate their technology into our database and assess their readiness for Federation membership. However, their local language (designated "Technese") is eluding our universal translator. Report to Region 4.

[Tux looks so cute in his Starfleet uniform] The crew of the USS Augusta Ada study and play with Linux, BSD variants and other free software. Starfleet International is an organization which promotes volunteerism. Many of our crew are already volunteers on projects in the open source community, but as we gain more computing experience and a large enough crew, we'd like to be able to improve computer literacy in our regional community as well.

*Tux In Starfleet
How this well-known penguin acquired his officers' pips.
*Flyers
Permission provided to republish these for general distribution. Remember, however, that we are regional to the greater San Francisco area.
Although we've provided the GIMP source for our flyers please note that The BSD Klingon may not be used outside the context of the BSD family of operating systems.
*Directions
JOIN US at our meeting site every month. Nav systems need a boost? We've got directions for street, public transit (BART and bus), and some highway details. And, of course, a map and coordinates, in case you have GPS and a proper transporter.
*List
JOIN US online in our email list. We discuss news of space and other sciences, as well as computing matters and occasional "Treknese in everyday life" reports.
*Timeline
The history of our starship in Starfleet.
*Away Missions
Useful things we're doing for the community.
* Gold pips stay onsite
+ Gold half-pips lead off-site, to crew maintained pages
