All systems online. We have been authorized to be refitted with weaponry as we travel into territory known to be infested with the Borg.

Comp Ops are the sysadmins of this vessel, adjusting research labs and tuning holodecks to contain the right simulation matrix for whatever project has engaged the imaginations of the crew. Logistics support and coordinates for Away Missions are also provided by the Operations staff. As we proceed into this partially charted territory, we examine new technologies that can be merged into the Federation archives. The free software natives are rather friendly in this regard, but we maintain an active Covert Ops team just in case.

• Web pages: use the subject Anomaly
  Mention which URL had the problem, describe the problem, and your suggestions for repair.
• Mail systems: use the subject MX Array Diagnostic
  describe the problem, plus your suggestions for repair. However, using email to discuss email trouble may not always work :( In which case, you should definitely hail us more directly...
• Deflector shields esp. if you think we may have been cracked - use the subject Species 31337 Aboard?
  describe the nature of the problem, and how it is affecting you
  AND hail us with your return contact number.

 

Comp Ops may be hailed in an emergency, using standard commbadge frequency 800 938 4078. When greeted by the voice recorder, state the nature of your technical emergency, hailing frequency (use your area code! we don't know where in space you are without it!) and your name. We'll hail back as soon as we can.
 

Unsolicited Bulkmail is not highly regarded here. Using one of the above subjects to gain high priority when your message has little to do with this website or its goals is likely to get you an extended training session in Netiquette-Fu with our Klingon contingent. Oh yeah, and we'll feed your spam to the tribble. You don't really want to talk to a Klingon just after she's been ordered to feed the tribble, do you?
